The Illini Bio-Energy plant is expected
to be similar to the Badger State Ethanol plant built in 2002 in
Monroe, Wisconsin (pictured here).
|
Plant Location
The plant will be located in Logan County, Illinois.
Ethanol Production Capacity
The plant as designed will produce 100 million gallons of ethanol each
year, which will be marketed across Illinois and the U.S. as a clean-burning,
high-octane transportation fuel additive.
Corn Usage
The plant as designed will create demand for 36,000,000 bushels of corn
each year.
Distillers Grains
As a co-product of ethanol production, the plant as designed will produce
336,000 tons of distillers dried grains with solubles (DDGS) annually,
which will be marketed to livestock and poultry producers as a value-added
nutritional supplement.
Employees
The plant will be staffed by 45 full-time employees.
Energy Source
